composite-veneers

The Composite Bonding procedure allows us to change the shape and size of certain teeth. Composite Resins are bonded to the teeth, so they are suited to repairing teeth (especially the front teeth) that have been chipped, broken or decayed. The bonding procedure is simple and is usually completed in one visit. In order to keep the restorations in their best possible condition, they need to be polished and maintained regularly. Ask the team here at M&J al Clinic about our approach to Composite Bonding and how it would apply to your individual needs.

Composite veneers are recommended for teeth that are:

  • Chipped
  • Misaligned
  • Misshapen
  • Uneven
  • Gapped
  • Stained by tobacco, tea and coffee
  • Unresponsive to teeth bleaching
  • Discolored by medication or fluorosis
  • Eroded or worn
  • Filled with old fillings

The application of composite veneers is noninvasive. A thin layer of the tooth’s surface is removed before placement. Veneers are then bonded to the front of the teeth.

Veneers are customized to match the appearance of your own teeth. The colors are chosen carefully and blended well. The material is then applied to the tooth, shaped and polished. With proper oral hygiene and regular dental checkups, veneers can last for more than a decade.
